Rain, rain, go away

I can't believe the rotten weather we've been having...it's been raining non stop for ever. Until now, I was all cooped up at home, feeling pretty miserable, and not just because of the rain. First, there was the back. I kind of twisted it, dancing vigourously at the MASALA Mela (Boston's annual desi LBGT party), which was in itself strange, as Junri and me only went there for about an hour. (The food had gotten over by the time we reached, so we saw a bit of the drag show, popped out to McDonalds for a bite, me in pink pants and all, popped back in, danced and came back home, all in under 60 minutes). To add to it, I've been having a crazy (lack of) sleep schedule. (I am now officially 100% nocturnal. It's a little strange, and disorienting.) And finally, decisions, decisions, decisions, about where I'd like to be in the future. All sorts of things have popped up over the past few weeks... options can be fun, and exciting, but also stressful, na?
But then, just about 10 minutes ago, Junri played me some classic Bollywood tunes on the piano, the scores to which we found online (Na Jaano Saiyaan, and Ae Dil Mushkil) - and the sun came out again, and all was right with the world. :-) (Metaphorically of course, it's still 2.30 am here and pitch dark in reality, but you knew what I meant...)

Man, I'm really looking forward to that. :-) Stay safe, and see you soon...inshallah.
You can play some bollywood tunes connected with rain and might start liking it for all you know.
Oh I like the rain. Just not in Boston, where its cold and windy and dull. I like Bombay rain, with all the accompanying cliches of fresh earth smell and all that. I like its passion and ferocity. I like its tender afterglow when the city looks scrubbed and clean, just for a couple of minutes, at least. I love walking in the rain. My favourite rain walk is not Marine Drive actually, but the quiet road near Afghan Church in south Bombay, where the canopy of trees creates this ethereal ambience. I've decided - the next time I am in Bombay and it decides to rain, I shall dance in the rain, umbrella less, like Kareena in Chameli. :-)
